Ste. Rose du Lac, Manitoba

Ste.Rose du Lac is a progressive community of approximately one thousand people. The town is situated in Manitoba's beautiful Parkland Region. Ste. Rose du Lac is just over 300 kilometres from Winnipeg. The area has a rich French Canadian heritage. Many residents of Ste.Rose du Lac are fluent in both official languages (Manitoba Community Profiles).

In the spring of 1889, a few Métis from St Vital, seeing a need to go further a field to find the necessary haylands to be able to overwinter their animals, decided to go on an exploratory trip to the west of Lake Manitoba and possibly to Lake Dauphin some 190 miles North West of Winnipeg (Town of Ste.Rose du Lac).

The travellers from St. Vital finding the area suitable to their demands went back to St. Vital, only to return on the 19th of August 1889 to establish themselves as the first residents of what was to be known as Ste. Rose du Lac (Town of Ste.Rose du Lac).

Hi Janine- We met at the Neufeld training in Vancouver and Edmonton, I'm the art pshratiet who works with Cowichan Tribes Child and Family Services. I'm preparing a presentation for the Managers here to talk about the Neufeld training I've done and the value of using this approach in our agency. My supervisor thought it would be helpful to hear from some others who are using this approach, why they think it's effective and how they evaluated the success of this model as opposed to other strategies. I thought of you and Nikki, and wondered if you could take a few minutes to send me your thoughts on this, just briefly. I would appreciate it!Have a great holiday season!Liisa Laakso

Thanks for the comment, Violet! With walks of over 100km or so I find that I need an ice bath (literally a bath feilld with ice) in order to walk the over 30km per day required to get it done so camping out is not easy. I'll stay with family and may duck into a hotel in Winnipeg for the night if I have to. I'd love to have you walk with me especially the final walk from Broadway and Osborne to The Forks in Aug 21st.Anyone is welcome to make a donation directly through the shelter websites. A link is on the right side of this page at the top. Also, at present I'm looking for businesses to offer sponsorship level donations to IKWE and GENESIS HOUSE. In return I'll let everyone in the media know about that business. Let me know if you have any ideas about how to make that happen! Thanks again!Steve

The AST Master may be the right amp for you. It has a bigger enibact and so you get a bit more bass output. I recommend using the Night Light Attenuator to bring the volume down to even bedroom levels rather than using a master volume. I use the Night Light at home all the time and it sounds fantastic with the Swart AST.
